The inaugural UAE Tour 2019 is the result of a merger between the Abu Dhabi Tour and the Dubai Tour. The competition has extended its path across all seven emirates and it will continue to be a UCI World Tour race.
This special cycling event will be distinguished with a new logo.  The Tour name is now written in red and green in a heptagon shape in reference to the Emirates involved in the event

Starting on Monday February 25, the seven-day event will kick off in Abu Dhabi and ultimately roll into Dubai on Saturday March 2.
The UAE Tour is open to all cyclists, amateur or professional which want to challenge their skills while competing for three classifications: time, points and UAE National category by time across different groups.

Coloured jerseys will distinguish the top leader in each classification, and the final winners will be announced on the last day at City Walk.
The award is a 24-carat gold plated trophy by the same manufacturers who designed the FIFA World Cup and will display the names of previous winners, including last year’s Dubai Tour champion Elia Viviani.
The six-day race will kick off on Monday February 25, finishing in Dubai on Saturday March 2.

The Dubai Tour has always been an event populated predominantly by sprinters, and was won by Elia Viviani in 2018, meanwhile the Abu Dhabi Tour was more one for the climbers, thanks to the pivotal climb of the 10.8 kilometre Jebel Hafeet. In 2018, it was Alejandro Valverde who scooped up the win.
The UAE Tour 2019 will be broadcast on Eurosport between February 25 to March 2
